WEEK 1: RE - CONFIRM MAIN CIRCUIT ( INVERTER CIRCUIT )

Objectives: 
  • To Gain Knowledge about the most effective inverter circuit.
  • To Compare between other inverter circuit.
  • To Check a misconduct (mistake) while doing early inverter circuit
Content / Procedure: 
  • Make a research about suitable circuit for DC - AC inverter, PWM and so on.
  • Make an analysis for Basic inverter circuit
  • Do a simulation and experiment to determine a circuit performance.
  • Make sure a suitable circuit to begin circuit developing.
Result and Analysis:
  • I'm done a simulation using Multisim Software between basic inverter circuit and my chosen inverter circuit to analyse the performance. The result have been show below:

  • From the result, it clearly can see, that my modified inverter circuit can achieve my actual target which is to step up from 12 V to 240 V. 
  • Actual circuit research simulation result shows, that it can't generate more than 180 V. 
  • I can understand that, researched circuit consist more parts of power conversion before it produces an output.
  • For modified circuit, the output generated is more stabilize and i'm try to use fly - back converter to step - up the voltage level to desired value.
  • The circuit use 555 timer, that widely known as useful IC, with just few external component.
  • I'm choose to try fly back because it is simpler with few components, and have a great performance to boost a dc voltage.
  • H - Bridge inverter will be use to invert dc voltage to ac voltage.

Conclusions
  • I'm sure that this circuit is suitable to be use in my final project.
  • I decided to use DC - DC & DC - AC in one main circuit without change the circuit performance.
  • The protection circuit need to be done because it involved high current and can risk a circuit component.
