WEEK 4: CIRCUIT PCB DESIGN / TROUBLESHOOTING

Objectives:
  • To make a circuit PCB etching and drilling.
  • To Test a PCB Inverter circuit.
  • To analyse the circuit performance.
Content / Procedure:
  • Prepare a material to do circuit etching.
  • Do a component test. Collect an old component that have been used in order to reduce a cost.
  • Try to do some test towards etching circuit to analyse the performance.
Result and Analysis:
  • I'm done a construction for  High Current Inverter Circuit. The circuit is fly-back converter and using 555 timers as an controller.
  • This testing part was done by using my old equipments that have been used during my studies.
  • The circuit PCB design and the pictures during etching the inverter circuit was shown below:
MY HIGH CURRENT INVERT CIRCUIT PCB DESIGN

  • This is a PCB Design which is including my HCIC (High Current Inverter Circuit) and 3 stage protections circuit that has been designed before. The width = 4500 and height = 3000.
  • Most of the circuit testing has been done at the home to avoid wasted time.
  • successfully, checked the etching circuit and the current input to run the circuit. The power supply are getting by the battery 12V, 35 A.
  • There are no problem happen to inverter circuit during the troubleshooting was done.
Conclusions
  • This is our own designed circuit combining 3 stage protection circuit with high current invert circuit (fly back type).
  • The output current and voltage from the inverter are considerably accurate based on input capacity form the battery. The lamp, phone charger can be used by using the inverter output.
  • The protection circuit need to be done because it involved high current and can risk a circuit component.
