WEEK 8: MECHANICAL CONSTRUCTION


Objectives: 
  • To make an configuration of the hydro material.
  • To build a proper hydroelectric prototype.
  • To check an suitable approach that can meet the goal of the project.
Content / Procedure: 
  • Make a configuration based on specification on each material.
  • Understand the function of each mechanical items.
  • Justify the cost and what component to be used.
  • Troubleshoot the prototype in order to determine problem.
Result and Analysis:
  • This project did not have a software programming because of the higher cost, and based on the objective project itself. 
  • In other means, the mechanical material is one of the parts that need to be focusing on during this project.
  • The mechanical material must be done properly. It is because, hydroelectric systems is depend on the accurate place, timing and proper design in order to produce a right output.
  • The work load during this part has been shown below:






  • The early configuration of the hydroelectric systems ( before pulley systems are been installed) has been done to check the performance of the turbine and alternator first.
  • It must be done because, the arrangement of pulley that involving belting is critical; which is a little mistake can disturb a rotation of pulley.
  • The arrangement of mechanical part has finish 70 percent and ready to be test.
  • The result get is unsatisfied and the mechanical troubleshoot need to be done.

Conclusions
  • Finish a configuration towards alternator and turbine.
  • Make an enclose towards prototype.
  • The early testing shown the prototype can not produce a right output, and the mechanical troubleshoot has been done.
